Welcome to Emotions Toolkit
Growing Resilience Skills for Life
Join us to support the next generation to unlock their super power, learning to self-regulate their emotions more easily. Emotions Toolkit is designed to support children, families, Pre-Schools and Primary Schools to create strategies that help us navigate life more easily.
The Emotions Toolkit is a blend of training materials, support and multi-sensory resources to help children learn self-regulation skills, which with practice will stay with them for life. The number of children and teens suffering with poor mental health is growing, however, with education on how to manage their emotions they are less likely to struggle. We have created our first two toolkits for 3-7 yrs & 7-11 yrs, and will soon be developing a teen toolkit, and one specifically aimed at adults.
The Toolkit is a selection of techniques derived from yoga and mindfulness alongside scientifically proven methods to release ‘feel good’ hormones such as serotonin and dopamine. Emotions Toolkit is designed to support as many groups as possible.
We offer advice, training and resources to:
Nurseries & Pre-schools
Families - Groups and One to one
Therapists & Counsellors
Family Support Groups & Organisations
As Emotions Toolkit continues to expand and grow we hope to reach out to as many organisations and groups of people as possible. If you would like to discuss how Emotions Toolkit can support your organisation or business please contact us.

Co-Founder of Emotions Toolkit
Keynote Speaker and also Founder of Empower Education, Jackie is passionate about inspiring the next generation to go on a journey of self discovery to empower them with the knowledge and understanding of who they are. She believes every child, no matter their background, gender, race, religion or ability has an unlimited potential, and CAN be successful in life. With a positive mindset, self belief and the right tools to be able to navigate life’s challenges, they will have less chance of mental health problems, be more emotionally intelligent, more creative, better problem solvers and communicators. Jackie works with children, teens, young adults, parents & educators running programmes & workshops in Emotional Intelligence, yoga and mindfulness as well as 1-1 interventions.
With the Emotions Toolkit, Jackie believes if children learn how to create a plan to manage their emotions at an early age, it will enable them to understand the importance of taking responsibility for how they feel, and know how to self calm themselves.
Co-Founder of Emotions Toolkit
Debra is an Artist, an Educator and the Founder of Stone Stories - Creative Storytelling. After almost 20 years as a Primary School Teacher specialising and leading in the Early Years, Debra created Stone Stories to offer a multi sensory approach to storytelling which would develop a wider vocabulary and a love of story. They are a valuable resource for all children and offer fantastic support to those with SEND and English as an additional language. She works in the community and in schools and nurseries offering storytelling and story making workshops and also creates bespoke or themed sets of Stone Stories which are available at regular local markets as well as on her website. Debra’s love of creating art began when she was very young, drawing cartoons, and now art is used in all aspects of her work.
Debra and Jackie met in the Summer of 2018 and had a shared desire to support the emotional and mental health of young children.
The Emotions Toolkit is an exciting collaboration. Jackie blends her knowledge of emotional intelligence, yoga & mindfulness with Debra's background in education and skills as an artist to design the toolkit, often with the help and ideas of children themselves.

Collaborating with children to create a more resilient school
The resilience leader programme is an active learning programme, that has been developed to ensure all children are active collaborators in their learning. The facilitator supports every child to feel able to be part of the group, feel empowered to take responsibility for their learning so they can fully engage in the process. The programme has been developed using coaching methods and action methods to enhance learning, to guide children to discover their own inner resources and abilities. To feel confident to teach others the Emotions Toolkit, how to self-regulate and take responsibility for their emotions and thinking, and learn how to navigate them more easily.

Organised jointly by the Northamptonshire Educational Psychology Service and CAMHS Community Early Response & Intervention Team, this conference has been planned to help primary and secondary schools to meet children’s mental health and behavioural needs. Following on from the success of last year’s conference, we have invited Dr. Pooky Knightsmith (Mental Health Author and Educator; Vice Chair: Children and Young People’s Mental Health Coalition) to present the Key Note Address again. This time Pooky will be talking about creating mentally healthy schools, which meet the needs of every learner, to coincide with the release of her new book “Mentally Healthy Schools Workbook: A Practical Guide to Meeting the Needs of Every Learner”.
